A collaborative, site-specific, audio-visual event at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
Join Musicians for Health, Mark Fisher, Ros Hawley and Holly Marland, together with students from RNCM, in this unique and unlikely setting as they create an interactive sound world to engage the senses. Sounds radiate from the piano in the impressive Royal Eye Hospital Atrium to animate artworks and exhibits in the adjoining spaces. Mark, Ros and Holly are Music for Health specialists at Central Manchester University Hospitals. Developed at RNCM and now based at LIME, an award winning arts for health charity, Music for Health creates sensitive music at the bedside in wards, trains musicians and healthcare staff, and runs residencies, concerts and research projects. At this special event for the Weekender, choose to stay seated in the atrium and enjoy the sound travelling through the space, or actively follow the sounds, guided by the musicians. Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Atrium, Oxford Rd, M13 9WL, 5pm, Saturday 12 October, free. Maximum capacity for the event is 25 people, please register interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
