Kick off autumn with a magical adventure packed with fantastical creatures and mythical legends at the Hallé Family Concert: Marvellous Musical Myths and Legends, taking place at Halle St Peter’s this September.

Step inside the magnificent venue of St Peter’s, a renovated church situated in the heart of Ancoats, Manchester. The space is so gorgeous, it’s almost dreamlike. But it’s when the music starts to play that the magic really begins. Be spellbound by The Firebird, cast spells with Harry Potter, saddle up with Billy the Kid, save the day with The Avengers, and ride dragons to Berk. And there’s a whole host of fun family activities before the show, which will run from 1:30pm in the foyer. Enjoy word searches, puzzles, and colouring pages inspired by the themes from the concert.

Kids and adults alike will be in awe throughout this interactive concert experience, with presenter and broadcaster Tom Redmond, conductor Euan Shields, and the Hallé Orchestra. The orchestra will play all sorts of familiar tunes, including: John Williams, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: Hedwig’s Theme, John Powell – How to Train Your Dragon, Sibelius’ Lemminkäinen’s Return, Mason Bates’ Anthology of Fantastic Zoology: A Bao A Qu, Copland’s Billy the Kid, Stravinsky’s The Firebird and Alan Silvestri’s The Avengers: Main Theme.

The Hallé Family Concert: Marvellous Musical Myths and Legends is the perfect way to introduce your little ones to classical music, exploring a world of myths and legends through music from films we all know and love.

Tickets are priced from £13. Book your tickets now and enjoy a special family outing that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
