Gordon Ramsay’s modern European restaurant has landed in Liverpool ONE, taking over two floors and featuring all the classic Bread Street Kitchen dishes. It takes over a space that previously hosted a restaurant by one of Gordon’s many, many foes in the food world, namely Jamie Oliver’s Italian. But Jamie’s loss is our gain, as Bread Street Kitchen is wowing the people of Liverpool, with signature dishes such as beef wellington, butter chicken curry and the Hell’s Kitchen burger.

It all takes place in a 6,000 sq ft space that can seat up to 195 people, plus there’s additional outdoor seating and an extensive bar area. This is Gordon’s first UK Bread Kitchen outside London, and it’s hard to think of a better place for it, considering the views and location.

Andy Wenlock, CEO of Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, said: “It is hugely exciting to be expanding Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Liverpool. We selected Liverpool as it is such an exciting, popular city that attracts people from across the UK. We look forward to serving the people of Liverpool and visitors to the city all the menu delights Bread Street Kitchen & Bar has.”

Alison Clegg, managing director, asset management, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, added: “We are delighted that the Bread Street Kitchen & Bar will be joining our F&B offering at Liverpool ONE. Gordon Ramsay is a hugely popular and internationally renowned chef and we are proud that he wants to bring his brand to the destination. Liverpool ONE is continuing to grow its F&B offering and the signing of such a well-known restaurant brand further cements its position as a destination for quality food, not just retail.”

Legend has it that Dickens got himself sworn in as a special constable for the night to gather material for The Uncommercial Traveller. Charles Dickens loved Liverpool, and Liverpool adored him.
