The 47-storey Beetham Tower is, by some distance, the tallest building in Manchester. Divided between residential apartments, offices, the 23rd-floor ‘Cloud 23’ cocktail bar and the Deansgate Hilton, it is a visible marker on Manchester’s skyline that hums tunes on a windy day. Visitors find the building particularly handy;  it’s difficult to get too lost when you have a 171-metre monolith acting as a handy reference point.
