Situated in Hull’s popular Fruit Market area, Ambiente has repurposed an industrial warehouse location into an atmospheric space. Kick back and let the flavours transport you to the sunny streets of Spain.

The Hull restaurant is the youngest of the 4 sites in this group and opened in 2016 on Humber Street. The traditional exterior of the building belies the cool, contemporary interior which has been transformed into a vibrant, upbeat space.

Inside its open plan with booths, banquets and larger tables for larger groups and special occasions. In the summer the outside seating is overlooks the marina. Its team of knowledgeable staff are super welcoming and are happy to make recommendations on food and wine pairings to complement its wide selection of tapas.

With all diets catered for, including vegan, the ingredients are locally sourced where possible and each paella is cooked fresh to order and totally worth the wait. You can nibble on a tapas selection while you wait, including mixed seafood and chicken and chorizo. To start sample various delicacies with a wheel of tapas packed with white anchovy fillets, Idiazabal cheese and serrano ham with olives and rustic bread.

Hot tapas sections include mussels with wine and garlic. Tiger prawns in a lightly spiced tempura or pan friend green beans with sundried tomato and pinenuts.
