This August, Ferocious Cabaret takes over HOME for a one-night celebration of the city’s thriving queer performance scene, bringing emerging artists together with some of the scene’s most established names.
Behind the glitter and glamour is a project rooted in Manchester’s creative community. Presented by House of Pantha, Ferocious Cabaret is the culmination of an artist development programme led by acclaimed burlesque performer Cleopantha in collaboration with Darren Pritchard of Ghetto Fabulous Manchester. More than a showcase, it’s a celebration of cabaret as an art form – one that embraces experimentation, individuality and fearless self-expression.
Expect an eclectic mix of burlesque, boylesque, drag and circus, with performances ranging from seductive and theatrical to bold, high-energy and unapologetically queer. Together, they reflect the creativity, confidence and diversity that continue to define Manchester’s thriving cabaret scene. It’s a reminder that contemporary cabaret is as much about storytelling and artistic expression as it is about glamour and spectacle, with each act bringing its own unique voice to the stage.
