Northern Soul Grilled Cheese is proudly the UK’s first grilled cheese restaurant and already something of a Mancunian icon.

You can thank these guys for ruining your lofty aspirations of maintaining a vegan diet. If you happen to pass by their site on Church Street and the wind carries the scent from the grill, it’s game over. This is food that could make a good dog break their leash.

There’s grilled cheese sandwiches aplenty alongside macaroni (and cheese, obvs), loaded fries, deep-fried pickles – you get the idea – it’s great.
