The Wheatley Arms describes itself as a “proper pub, bursting with Yorkshire Hospitality” and we couldn’t agree more. From the lavish but homely decor that beautifully balances tradition and modern aesthetic, to the hearty comfort food being served, The Wheatley Arms is a small slice of escapism in the picturesque village of Ben Rhydding. You’ll be in an excellent location to make the most of Ilkley Moor and less than 30 minutes’ by train away from Leeds if you crave the excitement of the city. However, Ben Rhydding itself is close to the River Wharfe and the famous Cow and Calf rocks as well as walking distance from the centre of Ilkley. It’s an excellent base for walkers, cyclers and nature watchers alike.

Locally sourced seasonal produce that makes it all taste uniquely Yorkshire

Every room in the Wheatley Arms comes with en-suite facilities and includes breakfast with the price of the room. Choose from Club, Executive, Luxury and Grand suites with options for dog friendly rooms and each individually styled to create a unique experience. Some of the other provided amenities include a coffee and tea corner, toiletries, Wifi and flat screen TV.

In the morning you can look forward to a boots-filling breakfast. The Wheatley Arms’ infamously delicious breakfast menu is the perfect thing to set you up for a day rambling on the moors. Everything is cooked fresh to order whether it’s meaty or veggie and features locally sourced seasonal produce that makes it all taste uniquely Yorkshire. While you’re staying with the Wheatley Arms, their main menus are well worth a try. Each dish maintains the integrity of good pub grub while changing with the seasons and elevating your expectations.

The hotel also caters for events. They host intimate and extravagant weddings with the glorious West Yorkshire countryside as the backdrop. Check the Wheatley Arms’ website for full information on wedding packages.
