Concert Square

Liverpool’s Concert Square was once one of the sweetest spots in the city centre, but now the square itself and its surrounding streets of Wood Street, Fleet Street, Seel Street and Concert Street are populated with bars and nightclubs – some more desirable than others. Though looking a little tatty these days, the quietly beautiful cast-iron sculpture, Reconciliation, by Stephen Broadbent (1989) now has Yates’ and Reflex bars for neighbours. Don’t say you weren’t warned.
