This indie bookseller is run by husband-and-wife team Ian and Suzy out of Levenshulme’s Old Police Station (next door to their old gaff in the Old Town Hall’s Antiques Village), complete with a vinyl soundtrack. Bopcap was named by Time Out in both February 2023 and May 2023 as one of Manchester’s 14 best independent shops. Offering a carefully curated collection of previously owned books and ephemera (film posters, magazines and so on) specialising in art, photography, design, fashion, architecture, cult literature and more, you’re bound to find something to suit your reading/gifting tastes here. There’s a good crop of cards and wrapping paper, too, and keep an eye on their socials for upcoming events.
