Take your curious little owls to a kaleidoscopic theatrical experience as the acclaimed children’s book by author Tim Hopgood is brought to life by puppetry geniuses Little Angel Theatre Company.

Aimed at ages two to five, it’s a perfect first or early theatrical adventure with the tiniest of tots able to identify with the much-loved tale of a little owl determined to stay awake and explore the world of daylight when she should, in fact, be sleeping.

Directed by Joy Haynes, expect to journey through the warmth of the day as it erupts into colour and delight in “wow” moments such as experiencing the joy of the bright yellow sun, blue sky, fluffy clouds, red butterflies and an incredible rainbow.

With clever staging and at the perfect length at just over 30 minutes, Little Angel Theatre Company are experts at captivating and holding the attention of the littlest, most wriggliest, theatregoers. Through talented storytelling, music and magical flourishes this intimate cavalcade of colours and new experiences will have them on the edge of their seats as the little owl discovers that the night sky is the most beautiful of all.

This season, exhibitions across the North West feel attuned to the world beneath the world – the forces and stories shaping how we see, feel and imagine.
