The Moxy Hotel hosts its first supper club with a four-course menu from The Little Sri Lankan on Thursday 9th May, making it a perfect summer-commencing treat for you and your lucky guest(s).

Founders Malanie and Micheal Hooper Tillekeratne have had great success since starting their supper clubs last year, showing there’s a great hunger for Sri Lankan cuisine in and around Manchester and Stockport.

Malanie Tillekeratne was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and grew up helping her parents cook Sri Lankan dishes for parties and celebrations. She moved to Britain at four years old and the aim of The Little Sri Lankan is to showcase the best Sri Lankan cuisine and dishes passed down through Malanie’s family.

And now this dynamic duo bring their skills to the city centre on Thursday 9th May. This will include a four-course dinner, sharing some of the very best dishes that Sri Lankan cuisine has to offer.

The meal will begin with a roast paan with curry leaf butter, and hot wild garlic butter cuttlefish (or oyster mushroom for you lucky vegans). Next, a mutton curry served with okra, potato badum, achcharu and red rice (pollos curry for vegans). The supper club will conclude with a Ceylon tea chocolate delice (vegan mousse for all you lovely plant-based lot), with Yorkshire rhubarb.

The four-course menu is £45 per person, with an optional beer pairing available on the night, expertly selected by Bar Moxy.

Curious? You can get a flavour of what to expect from our review of a supper club held by The Little Sri Lankan at Isca Wines last year (spoiler alert: delicious, fascinating and totally unique).
