These musicians have been chomping at the bit for months, waiting for the day when they can once again take to the stage and share their passion and joy with a hungry crowd. What better way to re-enter the gigging world than paying homage to the biggest band popular culture has ever known. On the 8th September, Escape to Freight Island will be overwhelmed with the spirit of The Fab Four as the Untold Orchestra breathes new orchestral life into The Beatles greatest hits.

Live music is more than capable of bridging the physical gap between us

The Untold Orchestra are one of Manchester’s youngest, most daring and exciting musical ensembles. They work with artists from a range of genres, orchestrally elevating their songs and creating experiences that audiences will long remember. Their previous reimaginings have seen them pay homage to greats such as Nina Simone as well as working with incredible contemporary artists such as Bill Laurence (Snarky Puppy) and rap artist Skittles and his group 8 Gold Rings. No matter the genre, the artist or the evening you can guarantee an emotive and truly heartfelt performance.

The orchestra is made up of some of the most talented musicians in Manchester with a mixture of classical performers and household names from the city’s jazz and pop scenes. Joining the ensemble are vocalists Jenna G, Will Jaquet, Phoebe Taylor and Dominic Lawson who will be taking the words and harmonies of John, Paul, George and Ringo into a tone that will resonate with our current situation.

The gig will work slightly different to your usual concert. Over the course of the evening, Untold Orchestra will perform six short 30-minute sets – so no matter what time you book a table for you’re bound to see the show.

Nothing brings people together like a shared experience and although you’ll be watching from the safety of a socially distanced table, the power of live music is more than capable of bridging the physical gap between us. With performances of this scale becoming increasingly sparse, this is sure to be an unforgettable night.
