Lives is the debut show from Sixth House, a brand-new home-grown theatre company founded at Lowry in 2024 as part of the Hothouse artist development programme.

Exploring themes of hope, greed, love and loss, Lives is a multimedia drama that follows six personas linked across time. Navigating interconnected pasts, tethered presents and fractured futures, the narrative centres around a trial.

A mother stands in court. We don’t know what the outcome will be. However, one truth is clear – within the courtroom, and outside it, there will be no easy verdicts. Billed as an “epic tale”, this bold new work asks us, how can today’s decisions forge a better verdict for tomorrow?

Sixth House are a new theatre company of six multidisciplinary artists based in Greater Manchester. With skills in theatre-making, dance and choreography, music and puppetry, the company aims to push the boundaries of live performance. We’re looking forward to seeing the company’s bold and ambitious debut show this February.
