David Gibb at Manchester Folk Festival
Gemma Gibb, Associate EditorWant an incredible live music experience that the whole family will genuinely enjoy? Bored of listening to kids’ film soundtracks on repeat? The award-winning David Gibb is the answer to your prayers.
His appearance at the inaugural Manchester Folk Festival celebrates the launch of his cracking second album Climb That Tree and continues his mission to create great music specifcally for little and big kids to sing and boogie to together.
David has a well deserved cult following for his high energy performances of tunes that totally get stuck in your head for days. Blending folk, jazz, reggae and rock and roll expect to go on journeys of the imagination where anything is possible – bears under stairs, trips to the moon, being able to scale the highest tree and wolves in schools.
We love that David’s performances are so infectious but are also brilliant stories in their own right – a winning combination to inspire and instill confidence in little songwriters and storytellers everywhere. We also love that he makes and wears the best shirts (which are so cool that they even have their own blog).
