Following sold-out London performances, performance makers ZU-UK bring their interactive performance Binaural Dinner Date to The Lowry.

Binaural Dinner Date is part interactive performance, part dating agency – inviting genuine applications from people who are looking for love, or existing couples who want to sample a very different dating experience.

Is the art of conversation dying in this swipe left and swipe right culture? Are people too busy to spend time getting to know a new person? Cleverly, Binaural Dinner Date tries to manipulate willing audience members into giving their hearts away through good old-fashioned conversation and instruction delivered via headphones.

Using audio prompts – questions, instructions, games and lots of eye contact ( no spoilers here), and a waiter and a chef to guide you – what’s the worst that could happen?
