BeWILDerwood in Cheshire is an entire forest of family fun with an enchanting story behind it. Based on the books by author and creator of BeWILDerwood Tom Blofeld, this award-winning outdoor adventure includes giant swings, ‘sooopa’ slippery slides, zip wires, a daunting broken bridge, a sky maze and more. There’s a chance to get artistic at the Big Hat craft area, or attempt a spot of den building, as well as climbing the telescope tower or navigating the Mish Mash Maze.

The Storytelling Stage is the place to discover more about the story and characters of BeWILDerwood through regular puppet shows throughout the day. Meet Mildred the tiara-wearing Crocklebog, a vegetarian bog crocodile, or the Thornyclod Spider, whose love of new shoes knows no limits. Then there’s Moss the Marsh Boggle, who’s married to Leaflette the Tree Twiggle, and Swampy, the reluctant hero. Their stories and the imaginary world of BeWILDerwood runs through the woods, with specially created structures, stages and the chance to create your own leafy crown or wand.

Food and drink is available on site from the Cosy Cabin or Munch Bar, with anything from sandwiches through to hearty meals on the menu. There are tips and tricks for planning a day at BeWILDerwood on the website; it’s worth remembering that this is an outdoor adventure, and to wear comfortable, warm and weatherproof clothes. Fill in a Character Quest Trail Sheet to receive a prize, check the ‘plan your day’ chalkboards on arrival, and settle in for a full day of woodland family fun.
