UK Premiere/ Rosa Chumbe + Q&A at HOME Manchester, Manchester 19 April 2018 Tickets from £5.50

Peru’s entry for Best Foreign Language Feature at the Academy Awards, Rosa Chumbe is the story of Rosa (Liliana Trujillo) a hard drinking police officer in Lima, Peru. She’s gruff and monosyllabic, with a gambling problem and little love at her job or in the home she shares with her daughter and grandson. Life is hard in Lima, but when Rosa is forced to take on more responsibility for her infant grandson her things changes drastically. A tragic tale with a twist, this debut feature from Chinese Peruvian writer-director Jonatan Relayze has won numerous festival awards for its cast and crew.

Premiering in the UK at HOME as part of this year’s ¡Viva! Spanish & Latin American FestivalRosa Chumbe will be accompanied by a Q&A with writer-director, Jonatan Relayze.
