We’re thrilled that a brand new musical adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel, Treasure Island sweeps into Bolton this festive season. Presented by Octagon Theatre Bolton, Tim Jackson will direct this rip-roaring new translation written by Kate Ferguson and Susannah Pearse.

A sensational Christmas cracker of a show.

Boasting a fearsomely brilliant cast of actor-musicians and a young company of 24 talented youngsters, Treasure Island promises to be an exciting, swash-buckling adventure for the whole family. We really love that this show has morning, afternoon and evening performance making it accessible to all ages.

The story centres around Jim Hawkins, a young boy is stuck working in the family inn. Tired of being overlooked, Jim embarks on a quest for treasure and adventure. When Jim meets an enigmatic seafaring gentleman, adventure calls to him – could this be the adventure he has been waiting for? Could there finally be gold on the horizon?

Once they set sail, things begin to look more dangerous than Jim had anticipated. Will Jim and his friends manage to escape a dastardly pirate gang and make their way back to dry land with their prize?

An exciting, swash-buckling adventure for the whole family.

Packed full of toe-tapping music and puppetry, alongside mutiny and talking parrots, the Octagon Theatre have pulled a sensational Christmas cracker of a show this festive season.
