The Tap-Dancing Mermaid at Waterside Arts Centre

The Tap-Dancing Mermaid at Waterside, Manchester 14 April 2017 Tickets from £9.00 — Book now

Expect some of the most creative staging that children’s theatre can offer in this unique show devised by talented children’s theatremaker Tessa Bide. Featuring masterful puppetry, live music and, of course, tip top tap dancing be immersed in this charming story (narrated by the Moon) about tap dancing mad Marina Skippett. Her mean Aunty no longer lets her dance at home so she spends each evening dancing on the boardwalk by the ocean where she befriends a curious nautical boy Leo and her life changes forever.

Waterside Arts Centre is a brilliant family venue. We love that this show will capture the imaginations of the littliest of theatregoers and that the creative staging by one talented performer who makes the world of the story from the creative props and set around her will likely spark magic (and, we anticipate, much tap dancing, shuffling and stomping) to continue long after the show ends. Good for burning off those Easter eggs hey.
