This Easter it’s time to emerge from that cosy winter cocoon and fly out into a world of magic and wonder as Eric Carle’s beloved stories are transformed from page to stage using a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets and charming music. Enjoy a magical, interactive production for little ones and their grownups, created by Jonathan Rockefeller, taking place from 11-16 April 2023.

Featuring four favourite titles: Brown Bear, Brown Bear, 10 Little Rubber Ducks, The Very Lonely Firefly and of course, the star, the myth, the LEGEND, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, each timeless tale is transformed from page to stage through multicolour puppetry, charming, catchy music and interactive fun, in a striking celebration of these four beautiful stories and the mark they’ve left on young people for generations.

As well as telling terrific tales, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show also provides an perfect introduction to live theatre for the little ones, as they find out if the the Hungry Caterpillar can ever be full, where the big, wide sea will take the Little Rubber Ducks, what the Brown Bear sees and if the Lonely Firefly can find his friends.

A heart-warming experience for children and their parents or carers, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show at The Lowry will have you grinning from ear-to-ear and joining in from start to finish with the fun dialogue, the brilliant stage props and immense colour, and the puppets’ crazy antics on stage.  The show runs for just under an hour, which is an ideal length of time for pre-schoolers to enjoy without getting fidgety!

Tickets are filling up fast so we recommend you book your tickets to avoid missing out!
