A terrific treetop adventure awaits this summer with The 13-Storey Treehouse at the Manchester Opera House, based on the bestselling book by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton.

Who wouldn’t want to live in a treehouse? Especially one that’s 13 stories high and packed with incredible features – like a bowling alley, a secret underground lab, beds that make themselves (sounds heavenly), a see-through swimming pool and a marshmallow machine… Sounds pretty awesome, doesn’t it?

This spectacular treehouse is home to Andy and Terry, who spend their days creating wacky stories together and having heaps of exciting adventures. Andy and Terry are about to bring their hilarious stories to life with a series of wild adventures on stage… but there’s a catch: it’s day one of their play and – oops – they forgot to write it! They also have no props, no costumes – they’re completely unprepared.

So now they’re really stuck and they need your help to craft their wackiest story yet. Where might they find flying cats, a mermaid, a sea monster, an invasion of monkeys, and a giant gorilla? Engaging, hilarious and quite frankly ridiculous, the show will have you smiling and giggling from the moment you arrive until way after you leave. It’s brought to life with amazing puppetry, colourful props and an immersive and very silly storyline, and at its core, the story is about the power of imagination and creativity.

Taking place 15-18 August, The 13-Storey Treehouse at the Manchester Opera House offers a fantastic summer holiday treat as we near the end of the holidays and approach the start of the school term. At one hour long, it’s the perfect length of time for children aged 6-12 and their families. Don’t miss out. Book your tickets now for this fun-filled adventure live on stage.
