Creativity is taking centre stage at Aviva Studios this April. Black Creative Trailblazers are hosting Sip and Paint, an evening dedicated to colour, culture and community.

Located at Factory International in Manchester, this laidback session invites participants to slow down and take a break from busy city life and instead explore expression through painting with likeminded strangers. With a welcoming and open atmosphere, it will not matter whether you have years of experience or you’ve not picked up a paint brush since your school days. Everything is provided for you, so it’s simply a case of turning up, getting comfortable and creating something beautiful.

Now you might have noticed this experience is called Sip and Paint, which means its not all about the easel. Throughout the evening, your painting will be accompanied by live music and a menu of thoughtfully prepared mocktails to enjoy while you work away on your canvas and chat to your neighbour.

Aside from the painting and mocktails, there will also be four Black-owned pop-up stores, showcasing a mix of art, fashion and lifestyle goods. It’s a chance to browse and support independent artists and makers whose work reflects creativity and craftsmanship from across the diaspora. So, not only will you be going home with your own piece of art, you will also have the chance to snag some statement accessories or unique prints to take home too.

Black Creative Trailblazers have built a reputation for spotlighting emerging voices and creating spaces where community is at the forefront. Sip and Paint is part of that mission, offering a relaxed but purposeful evening. Giving you a chance to express your own creativity and make new connections over a colour pallet and a mocktail.
