Soulful Salford songstress Ren Harvieu makes a rare appearance in Sale in July. Still only in her mid-20s, Ren initially rose to prominence thanks to her appearance in the BBC’s Sound of Music 2012 list. She has since gone on to perform on Later… with Jools Holland, and with the BBC Philharmonic, while her debut album, Through the Night, reached fifth in the charts upon its release.

With comparisons to the likes of Dusty Springfield and Ella Fitzgerald, this is a rare chance to hear Ren’s new and old material.

The show is part of Waterside Art Centre’s Refract:17 festival.
