It’s time to party! The Playhouse Project Family Rave at Escape to Freight Island returns on the morning of Sunday 7 November, and you’re invited! Get your best dancing shoes on for a unique, family-friendly rave experience with the dazzling Disco Mums, an all-female, Manchester based DJ collective of seasoned clubbers (now parents) who know all there is to know about the Manchester music scene and are pros at spinning all the plates.  Their records are at the ready and they are fired up and raring to go from their recent success at the Manchester International Festival. Expect a disco-inspired party, jam-packed with amazing, feel good tunes for the whole family to bop along to, ranging from Disco to House, to Techno, Boogie and Italo.

Alongside music to make you seriously tap those toes, the Playhouse Project Family Rave will feature bubble machines, face painting, glitter faeries, inflatables, arts and crafts, stunning visuals and lighting, BLOOM Baby/Toddler Sensory and Play and dance floor activities with Cequin Circus, whose dazzling, shiny Disco Ball dancers will make the dance floor sparkle, while their giant hoops will keep the children entertained throughout.

While you get down and boogie, your littlest ones aged 0-4 can attend the BLOOM Baby / Toddler Sessions. The sessions are packed with a range of activities to encourage physical, emotional, cognitive and social development while also, most importantly, ensuring they are having a ball! They’ll be dancing to music, relaxing to baby yoga and massage, and mesmerised by the sensory lights, instruments, bubbles treasure baskets and parachute play.

And if you need a well-earned break from all the dancing, head to the Arts and crafts section, where you can get creative and design a Disco Record Sleeve out of recycled mixed media.

So douse yourself in glitter and book your tickets for a Sunday morning with a difference at the Playhouse Project Family Rave.
