Wine tasting with legs, as they like to call it. The Manchester Wine Tour is a must for anyone in the city, whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or just wine-curious. Chances are, you’ll be a convert by the end.

This tour is led by Kelly Bishop, the owner of Manchester Wine Tours, and it’s far more than just sipping a few glasses. It’s a fresh, surprising way to explore Manchester. Alongside standout wines, you’ll take in some of the city’s most memorable statues and hidden gems, discovering stories and places you might otherwise miss.

Ian Jones

Each tour features a different combination of venues and wines, making it a brilliant experience to return to. No two outings are the same, but every one offers carefully chosen stops and plenty of memorable moments.

Guests are treated to between five and eight wines, often paired with small but high-quality snacks. Your guide will break down each wine, explaining how it was made and why those methods matter. You’ll learn all sorts of fascinating details you never expected.

Every tour includes four stops, whether that’s a stylish bar, a cosy pub, a top-tier restaurant or an independent wine shop. The line-up changes each time, but every venue is handpicked for its offering and of course, its wine selection.

Manchester Wine Tour

Whether you’re new to the city, a long-time local or just visiting for the weekend, this is a brilliant way to enjoy great wine, tasty bites and maybe even meet a few new faces. Tours run every Friday through Sunday with the occasional Tuesday session and group sizes are kept small, with just 12 people per event, so it always feels personal.
