Hamilton, the hugely popular multi award-winning musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda will tour the UK for the first time – opening at Manchester’s Palace Theatre for a 15-week season from 11 November 2023.

We’re thrilled that Manchester is the first UK city outside of London to host the 11-time Tony Award-, Olivier Award-, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical.

Manchester is the first UK city outside of London to host the 11-time Tony Award-, Olivier Award-, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical.

Hamilton tells the story of US founding father (and first Treasury Secretary) Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the American Revolutionary War – helping to shape the country’s financial, political and legal systems – and build the America we know today.

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hamilton is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire; the show is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.

This masterpiece of musical theatre received its UK premiere in December 2017 at the newly re-built and restored Victoria Palace Theatre in London – where it continues to play to sell-out houses. Following the opening of the UK tour at Manchester’s Palace Theatre in November 2023, this spectacular show travels to the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh from 28 February – 27 April 2024, with more venues to be announced soon.

One of the most eagerly anticipated shows to visit Manchester this year.

Politically charged, with outstanding performances and a hip-hop soundtrack, there is no doubt Hamilton is one of the most eagerly anticipated shows to visit Manchester this year.
