The Spring Holidays are here and, oh my, does the Science and Industry Museum have some treats in store for you!? Step inside a sense-sational adventure, with hands-on activities inspired by the museum’s brand-new exhibition, Operation Ouch! Brains, Bogies and You, an interactive experience where you can poke around a giant eyeball, journey through an ear canal covered in gooey wax, squeeze past sticky snot, and plunge into the incredible world of our senses.

To complement this amazing exhibition, there’s all sorts awesome activities taking place at the Science and Industry Museum over the holidays. Enjoy fascinating science shows like the Wild Senses Science show, exploring the incredible superpowers of anxals and how bees, bats, and other amazing creatures use their senses to survive. Next up, follow your nose to the Sensory Trail where you can put all your senses to the test… Can you sniff out fun like a dog? Learn how different animals explore the world around them in this interactive experience.

Stop by the Tasting Station, where expert Explainers will uncover how bees taste and smell in ways you never imagined. Wander inside the Bat Cave to discover the secrets of these fascinating nocturnal creatures, and even make your own bat to take home.

Gamers of all ages will love Power Up – the Ultimate Gaming Experience, where you can play over 150 video games from the past five decades. There’s also the Experiment gallery to explore, a free and interactive gallery. Lift a car with one hand, explore heat vision and create glow-in-the-dark art. Next up, visit the Textiles Gallery, which tells the story of Manchester’s fascinating cotton industry – the people who made it and the incredible legacy it has left on Manchester and across the globe.
