Cask, 29 Liverpool Road, Manchester, M3 4NQ
Cask is a well-loved pub on Liverpool Road in Manchester, it is one of the most laid back pubs in town – one, it should be noted, with an excellent selection of continental beers. If you are after a Belgium beer with enough volume to need a council permit, look no further.
The beer garden isn’t fancy, but it does the job, with lots of seating packed in. It’s in Castlefield, but without the canal-side vista.
Cask is right next to a chippy, too, which means it can be a wee bit smelly out there. But on the plus side, you don’t have far to go if you get hungry, and they let you bring your chips in the pub!
Because of the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, we are unable to bring you our usual recommendations for things to do in Manchester and the North. Our thoughts at this time are with our readers and with the organisations and businesses who make the North of England a great place to live and visit. We hope you stay well and look forward to sharing more unmissable events and places with you later in the year.
