Enjoy an unforgettable family adventure at Temple Newsam in Leeds this Easter. Step into a world of culinary history as you wander through the grand house filled with rooms adorned for delicious feasts and magnificent events, and uncover the secrets of food and dining from times gone by. Get involved in arts and crafts, creative activities and fascinating trails that will keep the whole family out of trouble.

There’s so much to do during the Easter holidays at Temple Newsam, both indoor and outdoor, so you can enjoy a fantastic day out – come rain or shine. Wander through the halls of the atmospheric historic mansion and discover hidden treasures and tales, and experience what it was like to live in luxury with dressing-up boxes and themed trails. Enjoy the family play bays dotted throughout the house, filled with everything from books to building blocks, and an eco-friendly doll house.

Next, step outside into the picturesque grounds and gardens where you’ll meet all sorts of very adorable rare breed animals at the Temple Newsam Home Farm, including lambs, piglets, geese, guinea pigs and more. Dive into the history of farming life and learn how original farming machinery worked up to 500 years ago.

While you’re here, take a short walk to the Lakeside and Walled Gardens where you’ll find lots of stunning outdoor space and picnic spots. You’ll also get the chance to take a seat on a real-life tractor and snap some photos – of course, you’re never too old to climb aboard a tractor. Meanwhile, kids under 8 can run free at the under 8’s playground, perfectly kitted out with swings, slides and games.

A fun day out for all. Admission includes access to all activities—just drop in and let the fun begin.
