Get ready for the heartwarming production of A Tiger’s Tale at Waterside Arts on 6 October, written by award-winning playwright Mike Kenny. This high-spirited show is inspired by the almost unbelievable true story of Fenella, the tiger who lived in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire during the 1940s.

A Tiger’s Tale takes the audience on an extraordinary journey with Titch, Ma, and Pa, a family of acrobats who adopt a tiger cub. The story begins with the family in South Africa, aboard a circus train, before crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a steamboat and eventually arriving in West Yorkshire. Throughout their travels, they encounter adventure, laughter, and plenty of surprises.

A Tiger’s Tale is packed with fun and delight, combining circus acts, puppetry, magic and live music and song. M6 Theatre’s talented performers set the stage alight with acrobatics, comedy, and touching moments and of course a cute furry tiger cub that will  make the whole audience ‘awww’ out loud.

Perfect for a family outing, A Tiger’s Tale at Waterside Arts will transport you and your little ones to an unusual world filled with wonder and excitement, where anything is possible. The production also reminds us, in the show’s own words, that “all the best stories end with a surprise”.

The running time for this production is 55 minutes and it is recommended for young people aged 4-11 and their grownups.
