What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Liverpool? Chances are, The Beatles are now on your mind. Hard Days Night Hotel is the world’s only Beatles-inspired hotel and, naturally, it’s right at home in the band’s home town. The impressive column-clad façade of the Grade II listed building doesn’t give much away but Beatles fans will find lots and lots of treats inside. The hotel’s location fits the theme too – it sits adjacent to the legendary Cavern Club where the Beatles had their very first performance.

Hard Days Night Hotel is not just a novelty: the rooms are stylishly designed and comfortable for both shorter and longer stays. You’ll find tasteful Beatles-related artwork in every room, along with any of the facilities you might need, like Wi-Fi, toiletries, and tea and coffee.

You’ll be right in the middle of the city, with pretty much any of the restaurants in the city centre within reasonable walking distance. If you’d rather stay in the hotel though, there is a choice of not one, but three different spots to dine and drink. North Sixy4 is a restaurant with serving traditional English and international cuisine with a twist. Afternoon tea lovers will be delighted to learn that the hotel serves afternoon tea daily, between 12pm and 6pm. True Beatles fans will enjoy John’s Bar, where you can enjoy a drink and a snack while admiring the impressive collection of Beatles artefacts. Bar Four serves Beatles-inspired cocktails in the chic atmosphere of wood-panelled walls and modernist leather chairs. This is also where you’ll find the original, never seen before, artwork by artist Paul Ygartua who actually went to Liverpool Art College with John Lennon. The painting shows each of The Beatles with their favourite instruments.

In terms of location, it’s an ideal spot for exploring the city centre. Whether you’re doing a bit of shopping, visiting the museums and galleries or planning a night out in style, nothing in the city centre will be very far from the Hard Days Night Hotel.

Exhibitions in the North

This season, exhibitions across the North West feel attuned to the world beneath the world – the forces and stories shaping how we see, feel and imagine.
