Possibly the friendliest record shop in town, Dead Air Records is a family owned, independent vinyl store on the edge of Liverpool city centre, in a quiet residential street but you won’t miss their signature acid green sign.

Founded by locals Jess and Marc in 2023, Dead Air Records describes itself as the neighbourhood record store that values the tastes of its community and caters to  their needs. Their purpose is not merely to sell vinyl but to create a space for people to share their passion and find new music. Their vision highlights three things that drive the business: affordability, community and discovery, all of which combine to create a truly welcoming place for music lovers, no matter what your taste. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just starting out your journey, Jess and Marc can help you find things you didn’t even know you were looking for.

The shop’s selection specialises in second-hand records, from rare finds to near-mint newer releases as well as new records. Fresh ones are added on a regular basis, based on recommendations or recently discovered gems. It’s a carefully curated selection but don’t worry – you’ll find all genres here. Dead Air Records also sell vinyl online so check out their website if you can’t make it to Liverpool. If you can though, do pop in because online shopping can’t replace the thrill of the record-digging experience in store.
