A Grade I listed, non-profit stately home located in North Yorkshire, Allerton Castle makes for a grand backdrop for weddings, events and even films and television productions. With a history dating back to the nineteenth century, the building is in a Victorian Gothic Revival style and contains beautifully outfitted interiors, including everything from a billiard room to an ornate library, and deep blue ballroom.

That pristine period decor and air of Victorian glamour — not to mention the 200 acres of countryside and formal gardens — has caught the eye of location scouts over the years. Visitors can walk in the shoes of John Malkovic and Rupert Grint who recently filmed the BBC’s version of Agatha Christie’s The ABC Murders here. Other productions to have taken advantage of the Castle’s splendour include ITV’s Victoria and Bollywood’s hit rom com Shandaar.
