30 James Street

Jennifer

Designed by Richard Norman Shaw, No. 30 James Street, Albion House in Liverpool housed the offices of White Star Line Shipping Company until 1934. Today it is a glamorous hotel housed in the Grade II* listed building with over 60 rooms that promises to recreate the experience of first-class passengers on a cruise.

Situated on the corner of James Street and the Strand, this impressive eight-storey building has distinctive alternating bands of red brick and white Portland stone. This stunning building is steeped in history – after all this is where the sinking of the Titanic was announced. The design of this luxury hotel leans into the site’s past with interiors peppered with period features and opulent fabrics in gold and silver hues throughout the Titanic-themed rooms.

The rooms offer jacuzzi baths and sleep from two to eight guests, with many also including a kitchenette. You’ll also find a stylish place to unwind – Morgan’s Spa boasts a hydro swimming pool, sauna, bar and a relaxation zone with three treatment rooms.

Due to the hotel’s close proximity to The Strand, some of the rooms have gorgeous views of the Three Graces. You’ll be a stone’s throw away from the Royal Albert Dock, Pier Head, the Ferry Terminal, and the the best dining and shopping options that the city has to offer. The hotel’s rooftop bar Carpathia offers beautiful views of the city too, while the restaurant offers an excellent dining experience.
