Spend a happy hour as the acclaimed Scamp Theatre bring to life Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s best-selling tale.

Follow the “will they, won’t they” story of the lovely Betty O’Barley and Harry O’Hay whose forthcoming nuptials are threatened by the dastardly Reginald Rake.  We are most definitely Team Harry.

Part of what is now surely some literary canon by Donaldson and Scheffler of characterful and heartwarming picture books with adventure, kindness, friendship and family at their core, although The Scarecrow’s Wedding may not be as well known to the masses as Stick Man, Tiddler or The Gruffalo, it is no less sacred to small people across the UK and beyond.

We love Waterside Arts Centre’s regular top notch touring theatre shows, friendly, relaxed and accesible vibe and Saturday Family Club events for introducing the tiniest theatregoers to the magic of the live stage and the creative processes around it. It’s worth checking out the annual Family Club membership to receive discounts year-round.
