Get stuck in at the start of the creation of the newest garden at Beningbrough. Spend as little or as long as you want to help tdig up plants to make way for the new Mediterranean Garden. Take some of your hard efforts home for your green space with a donation to the National Trust.

RHS Chelsea Gold Award winner Andy Sturgeon is working with the Beningbrough garden team to improve and in some places reinvent the Yorkshire garden. Already visitors can enjoy the new ha-ha walk in early spring, planted with 300,000 bulbs and the first new garden area the Pergola. Work will start over autumn and winter to transform a green space into the Mediterranean Garden – but first many hands make light work in removing the current planting.

Drop-in and chat to the garden team as they work to find out more about the latest developments, or better still, wear suitable clothes and footwear and join in.
