Originating in the Dominican Republic, Bachata is a wildly popular social dance which is now danced all over the world. Head down to Aviva Studios to learn the basics this May.

You’ll learn a few moves in a workshop led by experienced instructors Martin Martinez and Teddy Ivanova, before social dancing to a live soundtrack from DJ Yayo, who is well known for his Latin mixes.

Street Symphony is a regular Factory International series celebrating cultures steeped in tradition, community and artistic expression. Previous events in the series have featured diverse themes – from Hip Hop to Carnaval, Salsa to Bhangra – highlighting dance and music genres that ignite cities worldwide with vibrancy and creativity.

Street Symphony x Bachata is organised by Latin Party UK.
