Reckless Sleepers return to Lowry this October with Binary Opposition – a mind-bending piece of visual theatre where rooms mirror each other, logic unravels, and identities blur.
Set across a dual-stage construction that resembles two identical spaces split by a dividing wall, the performance plays with symmetry and subversion. Blending fragments from the company’s past productions – from the mathematical choreography of Negative Space to the drink-fuelled disarray of Schrödinger – this is a show built from 20 years of playful experimentation.
Expect entrances and exits that don’t add up, scenes that spill from one space to another, and a constant shifting of meaning and perspective. Bold, funny and visually striking, Binary Opposition is a thrilling example of Reckless Sleepers’ genre-defying style.
Part of The Lowry’s Autumn Season of Contemporary Performance.
