Part of MACFEST 2022, this special evening celebrating the spoken word hears from some inspirational British poets as Boshra G, Saira Anwar and Razia Mohammed read some of their poetry and talk about their writing.

Throughout 2022, MACFEST (Muslim Arts and Culture Festival), together with the newly established Muslim Women’s arts Foundation and Festival, will be presenting a diverse, international festival line-up of speakers, artists and activities to take audiences on an unmissable arts and culture journey.

This special evening celebrating the spoken word hears from some wonderful British poets as Boshra G, Saira Anwar and Razia Mohammed read some of their poetry and talk about their writing.

Presented in partnership with Creative Manchester and the Centre for New Writing, and taking place at Central Library, the Poetry Bonanza will be introduced by Danny Middleton, Service Development Officer, Reader Development and Events, and hosted by John McAuliffe, Professor of Poetry at the Centre for New Writing at The University of Manchester (look out for the reboot of their Literature Live programme) and director of Creative Manchester.
