James Rowland brings his acclaimed one-man show Piece of Work to The Edge this June – a warm, witty and quietly moving story about identity, friendship and finding your place in the world.

When a life-changing letter arrives, James sets off on a round-the-world trip, encountering strangers, stories and the ghosts of past relationships. Blending personal memoir with music, humour and a touch of Shakespeare, this solo performance is a love letter to the power of connection and the joy of telling a good story.

Praised by The Guardian as “joyful” and The Scotsman as “an agile, vivid feat of storytelling,” this is a chance to catch one of British theatre’s most distinctive voices up close in an intimate venue.

Part of The Edge’s summer season of bold, contemporary performance.
