Based in a 19th Century former Red Cross Hospital in Chorlton, South Manchester, The Edge Theatre & Arts Centre is a community-focussed theatre that hosts both in-house and touring productions. It’s also a thriving charitable arts centre, working with homeless people, vulnerable adults and young people, and using the arts arts to help transform lives, while the café is also a training centre for adults with learning disabilities.

The Edge was opened in 2011 with award-winning actors Julie Hesmondhalgh and Sir Mark Rylance as its patrons.
