The rise of gin continues unabated this summer as the fashionable tipple inspires its own cinema event at Burnage Rugby Football Club. Nightflix Gin Cinema is billed as an immersive outdoor gin festival and cinema experience. Featuring over twenty varieties of the alcoholic beverage, the bar will cater to non-gin drinkers too with a full range of libations on offer. Attendees can also look forward to a selection of hot food and sweet treats to enjoy alongside the main event.

In terms of films, there’s two choices available to watch on the outdoor inflatable screen. Friday 4 September sees Johnny Depp appear in Tim Burton’s classic gothic romance Edward Scissorhands, while the following night (Sat 5 September) Lady Gaga stars alongside director Bradley Cooper in 2018’s surprise smash, A Star is Born. Prices vary according to the type of seating you’d like, while there’s also the opportunity to bring your own chair should you so desire.
