2024 marks 13 lucky years of Theatre Re. Established in 2009, the London-based ensemble create thought-provoking, tangible work that examines fragile and intimate human stories. And we’ve been told, their brand-new work – Moments – is unlike anything the company have presented before.

Weaving together the company’s personal stories around parenthood, mid-life and working creatively, Moments is described as “merging TED Talk with theatrical performance” – it’s a meditation on their work – why they do what they do, and, why it is important. Spanning the boundaries of mime and theatre with their trademark blend of striking imagery and original live music, Moments explores theatre-making magic, the poetry in our everyday and the joys of liveness.

Celebrating the creation of six shows that have toured to 17 countries over three continents, Moments sees its creators – Katherine Graham, Alex Judd and Guillaume Pigé, together with performer Benjamin Adams – pause to rediscover their creative bond and re-evaluate the meaning of success. Stitching together their personal perspectives on parenting, time and grief, they unpick their creative relationships to make this new show.

Directed by Guillaume Pigé, we’re expecting heartwarming and powerful storytelling complimented by stunning physical theatre alongside Alex Judd’s fresh musical score and Katherine Graham’s atmospheric lighting design.

Director Guillaume Pigé told us, “Moments is different. It is just us and ultimately it is a question. What are we doing here? What’s the point? Why do we do what we do? Does anyone really know why they do what they do? And do they feel like it’s enough?”

We’re thrilled that Theatre Re bring Moments to The Lowry as part of the show’s UK autumn tour. Intriguing and beautiful. Seize the opportunity to see one of the UK’s leading visual theatre companies this October.
