This event draws on rich archival and media sources from across the city to explore Manchester’s Irish heritage, community and history – including the impact that the Irish community, which forms a major part of the city’s regional identity, has had on cultural, political and economic exchange. There will be a panel presentation, open discussion and workshop session as part of the event, addressing recent debates on modern Irish identity.
