Part of the Manchester Jewish Museum’s Make It! sessions where every first and last Sunday of the month you have the chance to hands on with Jewish culture inspired by the exhibitions. Join them to make your own embroidered badges.

This session is inspired by ornate and detailed embroidery samplers from the Museum’s collection. Originally created by sisters Rachel and Florrie Cornofsky, they are the product of a rich social and cultural history of needle work. The Cornofsky family originally moved to Manchester from Lituania in the 19th Century.

All levels are welcome, whether you’re a complete beginner or a deft sewer. It’s a space for everyone to relax and be creative.
