Macramè is a highly versatile craft. It can be used to create sturdy yet aesthetically pleasing structures as easily as it can become a playground for colour and detail. Join WONDERHAUS at Salford Makers where they will be exploring the delicate side of this knot based craft to make impactful statement pieces of Jewellery. Create your own macramè necklace in this relaxed Thursday evening workshop.

once you learn the basics of Macramè you can apply the skills to your own projects

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve never tied a shoelace or your house is covered in homemade macrame plant hangers, WONDERHAUS will be there to guide you through the basics as well as the infinite ways in which you can use these simple techniques to get creative. Unlike other workshop skills, once you learn the basics of Macramè you can apply the techniques to your own projects at home. All you need is some type of cord material to work with.

WONDERHAUS is a haven of bold design, they aim to make jewellery for those with adventurous, independent and curious personalities. Some of their other means of producing jewellery include laser cutting, heat forming and etching among more traditional techniques. Julia, the designer behind WONDERHAUS, has a brilliant eye for bright colours and bold shapes. You can be sure to walk away from her workshop with a macramè necklace that’ll be the talk of any room you walk into. Other WONDERHAUS designs are available to buy via their website.
