We couldn’t be more excited for the return of the popular Leeds Waterfront Festival.

Leeds Waterfront Festival brings the waterways of the city alive every year, with an eclectic mix of music, performance, workshops and exhibitions for all the family. There are running relays, casual jogs and yoga classes overlooking the River Aire for those who like to get active, and galleries and street markets to browse for those who prefer a chilled out approach.

We can’t wait to enjoy grub from some of Leeds’ best indie street food vendors, while listening to local DJs at the Friday night socials at The Tetley‘s rooftop restaurant. Tuck into authentic Italian pizza by Luigi Italian Street Food, poutine by Spuds & Bros and vegan delights by Meatless Farm.

The festival runs throughout the summer – this year from 26 June to 29 August. The events and activities showcase the best of the city’s waterfront area, taking place daily at Brewery Wharf, Leeds Dock, Citu, Temple Arches, Granary Wharf and The Tetley.

Exhibitions that form part of the festival include Mel Brimfield’s From This World, to That Which is to Come at The Tetley, an amalgamation of the voices and stories of patients and staff at mental health institutions across the country. Plus a mural by painter Herfa Thompson which stretches across the walls of The Tetley’s Bar and Kitchen, exploring the joy and intimacy of sharing food together. Your family can get involved in free morning arts and craft workshops inspired by the exhibitions you’ve seen.

Celebrate summer in this newly developed area of Leeds, the sights and sounds of the River Aire making the perfect backdrop for your drinks, workshops and workouts.
