Uh-oh, Camelot is in trouble, and King Arthur is worried his entire civilisation is going to fade into a dull, forgotten footnote of British history. But when three rather bumbling squires present King Arthur with a peculiar plan, something magical (and of course, ridiculous!) happens, and an exciting new legend unfolds.

Taking place from 24 – 28 September, this fresh re-telling of King Arthur at The Lowry is brought to life by award-winning, Exeter-based comedy group Le Navet Bete, whose previous successes include The Three Musketeers, Treasure Island, and Dracula: The Bloody Truth. For King Arthur, Le Navet Bete have teamed up with John Nicholson, one of the UK’s top comedy writers and directors, known for his work with Peepolykus.

With a team like this running the show it’s bound to be absolutely brilliant, and together, they’ve created a seriously witty retelling of the legend of King Arthur, described by The Stage as “Ingenious and effortlessly hilarious”. It’s packed with humour, magic, upbeat music, daring duels and adventure, and guarantees to have the whole audience laughing out loud from start to finish.

It’s interactive too, as audience members are invited to get involved and become part of the legend. Throughout the show you’ll get to meet all your favourite Arthurian legends, but they’re not quite as you’d expect them to be…

This one-of-a-kind production has been supported by Arts Council England and Landmark Theatres, and is recommended for anyone aged 8 to 108… It’s the perfect chance to spend some quality time with friends and family and enjoy some giggly, unforgettable moments together. Don’t miss out!
