Everybody’s Talking About Jamie returns to The Lowry this September. We’re thrilled we get another chance to watch it – but, if you haven’t yet seen the show, we urge you to get a ticket – you won’t regret it.

The musical has taken the world by storm with a sold-out UK & Ireland Tour and an Amazon studios award-winning film.

The show first wowed audiences at Sheffield Crucible in 2017 before transferring to the West End for a record-breaking three-year residency. Since then, the musical has taken the world by storm with a sold-out UK & Ireland Tour and an Amazon studios award-winning film.

Inspired by a 2011 BBC real-life documentary, ‘Jamie: Drag Queen at 16’, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie charts the story of Sheffield teenager Jamie New and his journey ‘out of the darkness’ to becoming a drag queen.

Fabulous, feel-good and laugh-out-loud funny.

Fabulous, feel-good and laugh-out-loud funny, the show features West End star Ivano Turco as loveable Jamie; musical theatre star Rebecca McKinnis as Jamie’s mum, Margaret and Eastenders legend John Partridge as Jamie’s mentor Hugo aka drag queen Loco Chanelle. Shobna Gulati reprises her role as the quick-witted family friend Ray while Talia Palamathanan shines as Jamie’s best friend Pritti.

With direction by Jonathan Butterell, an original score of catchy pop tunes by lead singer-songwriter of The Feeling, Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae’s snappy script, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is absolutely unmissable.
